The Pacific Northwest It's Always a Great Time to Be Here!
Discover – what does that mean to you? For me it's the excitement of unearthing hidden treasures, learning new things, making a routine day into an adventure. The Pacific Northwest is filled to the brim with places to discover.
Maybe you’re traveling on business to a place you've never been before and you extend your trip by a few days so you can have a look around the city. Prince George, Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, Spokane, Portland, Bend, Ashland, Boise, Idaho Falls, Coeur d’Alene – and so many fascinating places in between.

Or this year you’re taking a not-to-be-forgotten family vacation to the other side of the country, instead of the usual jaunt to visit the in-laws. The Pacific Ocean – what could be better for a day of fun? Or you might want to hike around Crater Lake, see recent volcano activity at Mt St Helens, ski or snowboard at Mt Hood and Sun Valley, revel in the 55 acres of flowers in the Butchart Gardens, play with your kids in the Enchanted Forest theme park, or try out your athletic skills at Skytrek Adventure Park?
Have you decided to experience the excitement of the 2010 Winter Olympics up close in person, rather than merely watching on tv? Then British Columbia is the place to be, with events in Vancouver and Whistler.
If you're a Pacific Northwest resident, perhaps you’ve decided to investigate what it is that makes the PNW such a terrific place to live. Really get to know this unique territory. It can be as simple as taking the winding country road instead of the highway. Or the train instead of the plane. Just getting in your car and driving for an hour to see where you end up. Whether you’ve just moved here or are a long-time resident, there’s always something new for you to see, do, make, and experience.
From temperate southern Oregon to snowy northern British Columbia, from the western coastline through the deserts of eastern Washington and into the deep forests of Idaho, the Pacific Northwest is brimming with pleasures.
This site is owned and operated by Oregon residents who love being part of the PNW. We want to share our enthusiasm for this area with you.
Together we will travel, explore tourist favorites, have fun with sports and recreation, learn more about the culture and history, and just enjoy living local. We will Discover Pacific Northwest!
